HINTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

REGULAR MEETING - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2002

6:00 P.M. - BOARD ROOM

The Board of Directors of the Hinton Community School District met in regular session, Monday, February 11, 2002 in the board room. Members Kramer, Held, Rodgers, Sohl and Dittmer responded "aye" to the roll call. Superintendent Steen, Principals Stuerman and Martens, Jo Jurgensmeier, Robin Charbonneau and Carolyn Zellmer were also present.

It was moved by Sohl to approve the agenda as published. Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Sohl to approve the January 14, 2002 board meeting and work session, and the January 16, 2002 special board meeting. Second was by Held and the motion carried.

A motion was made by Sohl to approve the list of bills, in the amount of $123,161.64, for payment. Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Dittmer to approve the monthly Activity, Lunch, General and Special Revenue Financial Reports. Second was by Kramer and the motion carried unanimously.

Reports were postponed until the March board meeting.

It was moved by Held to approve the resignation of Susan Wright, as junior high volleyball coach, effective immediately. Second was by Kramer and the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Sohl to approve the resignation of Noreen Harvey, as Family and Consumer Science Instructor, effective at the end of the 2001-2002 school year. Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

After some discussion it was the consensus of the board to table the first reading of the early retirement policy (407.3R1), until the March board meeting.

First reading was given to the classified employee evaluation instrument, board polices 410.4E2 and 411.7E1.

Outsourcing the lunch program with Lunchtime Solutions was discussed.

It was moved by Sohl that the meeting be adjourned. Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:25 P.M. and is recorded on Tape #02-2. The next regular meeting of the board of directors of the Hinton Community School will be on March 18, 2002, at 7:00 P.m.
