HINTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

REGULAR MEETING - JUNE 18, 2001

7:00 A.M. - BOARD ROOM

 

 

The Board of Directors of the Hinton Community School District met in regular session, Monday, June 18, 2001 in the board room.  Members Rodgers, Sohl and Dittmer responded "aye" to the roll call.  Superintendent Steen, Principal Stuerman, Jo Jurgensmeier and Krista Nelson were also present.

 

It was moved by Sohl to approve the agenda as presented.  Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

 

It was moved by Dittmer to approve the minutes of the May 21, 2001 board meeting and June 7, 2001 worksession.   Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously.

 

It was moved by Sohl to approve the list of bills, including late claims, in the amount of $44,198.90, for payment.  Second Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

 

It was moved by Dittmer to approve the monthly Activity, Lunch, General, and special revenue financial reports.  Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously.

 

It was moved by Sohl to approve the Teacher and Student Handbooks for the 2001-2002 school year.  Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

 

A motion was made by Dittmer to approve the 1st reading of Board Policy #402.6R1 (Weapons Rules and Regulations).  Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously.

 

A motion was made by Sohl to approve the 1st reading of Board Policy #503.1R1 (Student Conduct).  Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

 

Legislative priorities to send to the IASB were discussed.

 

The facility committee recommendations were discussed and it was determined to schedule a worksession in July for further discussion.

 

A motion was made by Sohl to adjourn the meeting.  Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.  The meeting adjourned at 7:30 P.M. and is recorded on Tape #01-22.

 

The next regular board meeting of the Hinton Community School District will be July 16, 2001 at 7:00 A.M.
