Picking Up Students at School Dismissal Time

Parents we need your help! At school dismissal time, our students riding busses exit the building through the south exit. Our busses are loaded south of the building.

Please do not drive around to the south to pick up students. For safety reasons we must restrict the traffic on the south side of the building during dismissal time. Any student that is being picked up should exit from the front of the building.

Parking spaces are available in the front of the building for parents that are picking up their children. Please use these spaces and instruct your children to exit from the front of the building when they are not riding the bus.

With your help, we will be able to ensure we have a safe and orderly dismissal for all of our students.

Football Practice Starts August 9

All boys entering grades 9 – 12 are encouraged to play football this year. The opening date for practice is Wednesday, August 9. Practice will be held twice a day on the 9th, 10th, and 11th. The morning practices are 8:00 – 11:00 AM, and the evening practices are 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Starting on the August 14, there will be just one practice each day, from 8:00 – 11:00 AM. Complete practice schedules can be obtained by contacting either co-head coach, Steve Diediker (947-4774) or Bruce Held (947-4252). If you plan on going out, please contact one of these coaches and let them know. They have equipment checkout information you will need before the 9th. Don’t forget you need a physical before you can participate in any high school sport, so plan on getting one on your own, or coming to school on August 23 and take one here for $20. Details about physicals here at school can be obtained by calling the office here at school.

The web site contains all the e-mail addresses of staff members employed by the Hinton Community School District. This is an outstanding tool for our parents to communicate with our staff.
