Facility Usage byOutside GroupsEach school year, many youth and adult teams that are not school sponsored use the school gymnasium and multi-purpose room for practices or games. The Hinton administrative team has been discussing the youth and adult programs and how we can work together for the benefit of all. The school wants to support the programs; however, there are some guidelines that must be followed to ensure equity, safety, and proper maintenance of our |

facilities and equipment. School-sponsored practices and performances for all grade levels and all activities have priority over outside youth and adult teams. Examples of outside groups include, but are not limited to, Mathawks, Siouxland Y, SYA, AAU, and adult league teams. All practices and requests for school facility usage must be registered in advance with Paula Schreck in the Superintendent’s office. Her phone number is 947-4329. You will be able to schedule practice times on a month-to-month basis for the 2007-08 school year. In order to provide all teams access to the facilities, you will be limited to one practice per week, unless additional times are available. Saturday practices will be allowed; however, you must follow certain guidelines. If you are planning to hold a Saturday practice, you may call Mrs. Schreck at the school for details. The school does not provide volleyballs, basketballs or any other equipment. The team using the facility must provide these items, even if the coach of the outside team is a staff member. We ask that all teams support our school functions. Practices will not be allowed during a varsity team-sporting event or school performance. In addition, no practices will be allowed when a team or group has a performance or game at district, regional, or state level. With the support of all youth and adult programs, our facility will be a benefit to all programs; and by working together, we will ensure a successful learning experience for students in both youth programs and in our school activities.

School PhysicalsMs. Tina Johnson-Zimney RN All students who are in grades 7-12, who are competing in sports, cheerleading, or drill team, must have a current physical on file with the school nurse. Dr. Holton will be doing physicals at the school on Wednesday August 22 from 10-12. Parents may accompany their student but this is not required. The cost will be $20.00. Dr. Holton will be donating all money back to the school. Students must send me an email at prior to August 20 to sign up for a physical. Please have your student bring the money with them August 22. You will need to download a physical form so you can have the parent/guardian portion filled out. Your child will bring the filled out form with them and leave it with me that day. You can download the form from our website at http://hintonschool.com/PDF/physform.pdf
