HINTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

REGULAR MEETING - MONDAY, JANUARY 10, 2000

7:00 P.M. - BOARD ROOM

The Board of Directors of the Hinton Community School District met in regular session, Monday, January 10, 2000 in the board room. Members Howe, Dittmer, Held, Rodgers and Sohl responded "aye" to the roll call. Superintendent Steen, Principal's Hart and Stuerman, Jo Jurgensmeier, Bruce Fey and Stephanie Dittmer were also present.

A motion was made by Held to approve the agenda as presented. Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Dittmer to approve the minutes of the December 13, 1999 board meeting. Second was by Howe and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Dittmer to approve the list of bills, in the amount of $35,476.49, for payment. Second was by Held and the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Howe to approve the monthly Activity, Lunch, General and Schoolhouse Fund Financial Reports. Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Dittmer to approve an increase in Delmer Carroll's contract back to an 8 hour day. Second was by Howe and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Howe to approve a shared JH Wrestling contract for Steve Diediker, Bruce Held and Kevin Hart. Second was Dittmer and the motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Howe to approve reissuing a cook's contract for Sue Gerow for the same pay and hours as previously agreed to. Second was by Dittmer and the motion carried.

Michelle Rodgers and Robert Held volunteered to meet with Dr. Rauhauser on the January 19th to discuss School Improvement. Dr. Rauhauser is a guest speaker at the Inservice on the 19th.

It was moved by Sohl to approve the first reading of Board Policies 400-402.6. Second was by Held and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Dittmer to set the date for Bid Opening for the Athletic Track and Field Renovation Project for February 14, 2000, at 5:00 P.M.. Regular Board Meeting will follow. Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Howe that the meeting be adjourned. Second was by Sohl and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 P.M. and is recorded on Tape #99-29.
