SPECIAL BOARD A special board meeting of the Hinton Community School
MEETING District Board of Directors was held in the Central Office on 
Monday, August 27, 2008.
CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by
President, Rob Held.
QUORUM Roll call was conducted by Board Secretary, Melissa Sanders.
Members Present:  Lynette Blanchard, Kenny Hoefling,
Rob Held, Ed Vondrak, Steve Eddy.
OTHERS PRESENT Also in attendance was:  Al Steen, Superintendent; 
Ivan Webber, school attorney, via speaker phone.
CONSENT ITEMS Agenda:  Motion by Hoefling, Second by Vondrak,
it was RESOLVED:  To approve the agenda.
Motion carried 5-0.
ACTION ITEMS Approve closed session:  Motion by Eddy, Second by 
Blanchard, it was RESOLVED:  To hold a closed session as provided
in section 21.5(l)(c) of the open meetings law to discuss strategy with counsel
in matters where litigation is imminent and where it's disclosure would be 
likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of this school district in
that litigation.
Roll call vote:  Blanchard, aye;  Hoefling, aye;  Held, aye;  Vondrak, aye;  
Eddy, aye.
Motion carried 5-0.
The meeting went back into open session at 7:45 p.m.  The Board discussed
options regarding potential building sites for the proposed new elementary building.
ADJOURN Motion by Eddy, Second by Hoefling, it was
RESOLVED:  To adjourn the meeting at 8:18 p.m.
Motion carried 5-0.
