SPECIAL BOARD			A special board meeting of the Hinton Community School
MEETING			District Board of Directors was held in the school library on
			Monday, November 10, 2008.
CALL TO ORDER			The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by
			President, Rob Held.
QUORUM			Roll call was conducted by Board Secretary, Melissa Sanders.
			Members Present:  Lynette Blanchard, Randy Riediger, Rob Held,
			Ed Vondrak, Steve Eddy.
			Secretary Sanders stated that a quorum was present.
OTHERS PRESENT			Also in attendance were:  Al Steen, Superintendent;
			Jane Krehbiel, Elementary Principal; Sue Martens, High School Principal;
			Pete Stuerman, Middle School Principal.
			Approximately 70 other interested parties were in attendance.
PUBLIC HEARING			Approximately 70 people attended the public hearing with the following people
			directing comments to the Board in favor of, and in opposition of, the possible
			use of eminent domain to acquire agricultural land for future expansion.
			Mark Held, Bill Holtgrew, Bob Green, Randy Stabe, Larry Bunch, Kevin Held,
			Pat Pridie, Larry Harderson, Linda Green, Ken Spies, Anita Towns, Dan Kriener,
			John Werner, Lee Jarvis, Joel Bertrand, Chris Ommen, Annette Held.
ADJOURN			Motion by Riediger, Second by Blanchard, it was
			RESOLVED:  To adjourn the meeting at 7:46 p.m.
			Motion carried 5-0.
