Creative Writing Students Share Their Stories
Students in Mrs. Wurth’s creative writing class worked very hard for two weeks studying and writing their own children’s books. Students began the unit by looking at popular children’s book and analyzing the common elements found in them. After a day or two of brainstorming and journaling, the students began planning and organizing their own stories. Some students put their graphic design skills to use by creating their illustrations on the computer while the others decided to show off their own artistic skills be drawing their own illustrations.

Mrs. Daniels, our school guidance counselor, is retiring this year. She lives by Hillview Park. She has a nice husband named John. She has three children and three grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and sewing.

Artwork in Le Mars and Sioux City
The art students were very productive this year at Hinton, and they created many nice works of art. Several students had the opportunity to show their art in public this year in Sioux City and Le Mars.
