HS Science - Ruden
Freshmen in Earth Science have studied a wide range of topics this year. They started with some topography, moved on to all 3 rock types, and took a college-lab-styled final over the rocks they’d studied in lab. Next they studied how scientists determine the ages of rocks and objects such as fossils found in the rocks. They did a lab using simulated radioactive particles so they knew what an involved process this was.

Spring Concert
The Hinton music department will be presenting their spring concert on Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hinton gym. The concert will feature the JH Chorus and Band, HS Women’s Chorus, HS Mixed Chorus, and the HS band. The high school music students will be performing their Large Group contest music which they will be performing in Kingsley on May 3. Admission to the concert is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students and preschool is free. We hope you will attend this final concert of the school year!
The Hinton FCCLA Chapter, along with 500 member from FCCLA chapters across the state attended the Iowa FCCLA State Leadership Conference at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa on March 25-26, 2013.
State Leadership Conference is an opportunity for Iowa FCCLA members to celebrate the past year of hard work on various projects as well as develop their leadership skills with members from around the state.
