Meet the Second Grade Team
Smartboards get thumbs up from the fourth graders! The students are using this interactive technology in their classes and are having lots of fun. They are able to write, tap, and drag concepts on different pages shown on the Smartboard.

Iowa Assessments
Students in grades 3 thur 11 will be taking the Iowa Assessments during the week of November 4th.
Nursing Check List
9th graders—dental form turned in?
7th graders—Tdap vaccine date turned in?
TK and K—dental, vision, immunizations, and lead level turned in?

Immunization audit is coming up and the above forms all need to be turned in prior to the audit. Contact the school nurse, Tina Zimney RN, with any questions at
STEM Grant in 4th Grade
Hinton fourth graders will be experiencing a hands on learning opportunity thanks to a generous gift from the State of Iowa for Science classrooms through a STEM (Science Technological Literacy Engineering Math Connections) grant. Last spring, fourth grade Science teacher, Darcy Kuchel, applied for a grant that would provide the fourth grade with a kit that would enhance student learning.
