High School Wrestling
With the wrestling season now completed, we can reflect on what a great year it has been for the Hinton Blackhawks. As a team, we set the all-time dual win record with 22 victories, finishing the season 22-4. We placed 3rd at the Blackhawk Dual Tournament, 3rd at the West Sioux Invitational, 3rd at Districts, and we were the champions at the Hull Western Christian Dual Tournament. We advanced 4 wrestlers to districts (best since 2008) and 3 to state (best since 2008).

Track Meet Volunteers Needed
After the first of the year, organization for the coming track season begins. This will be the 25th season of hosting track meets at the Held Sports Complex. Once again, we will be hosting a fifteen-team girl’s invitational on Friday, April 17th, and another fifteen team boys meet on Thursday, April 23rd. Our junior high teams will also be hosting their co-ed invitational on Friday, May 15th. This year will also be hosting the high school conference meet on Tuesday, May 5th. As you can see, we will again be very busy this spring.
Volunteers make our track meets go. Each year between 20-30 people give of their time and their talents to make Hinton a quality place to run. If you can help, whether you are a veteran or a first-timer, we’d love to have you.
