Kindergarten Round-Up
Kindergarten Round-Up will be held on March 10 from 9:00-10:30. Students new to Hinton Elementary will join us on that morning to participate in activities designed to help teachers get to know the children and observe their strengths and learning needs. Staff will meet with parents individually, by appointment between 10:30 and 12:00. Parents are asked to set up a time for their appointment when they call to register for round-up. Please register by calling Mrs. Jauer at 947-4327. Families planning to open-enroll should fill out their application as soon as possible as space is limited. We have two options for kindergarten. Transitional kindergarten (TK) is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum based on the Iowa Core that is age and developmentally appropriate. Traditional kindergarten follows the Iowa Core Curriculum at a pace designed to be completed in one year.

Help Us Save
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Instead of throwing away your Pizza Ranch wagons from your pizza boxes, the proofs of purchase from Country Hearth bread, and your Hy Vee receipts, send them to school. All of these things help raise funds to support our programs. We greatly appreciate your support!
After Prom & Pizza Ranch
Please support the fundraising efforts of the Hinton High Junior Class for this year's After Prom party. Juniors will be bussing tables for tips the evening of Tuesday, February 16th at the Floyd Blvd., Pizza Ranch. Kids eat free on Tuesday nights, bring the family and support this year's After Prom!
