NEW FACES in our District
As we begin our 2016-17 school year, we are thrilled to welcome several new teachers to our building. As you see these new teachers, please give them a wonderful Blackhawk welcome!

Conduct Really Does Count
Our district recently received a letter from the Iowa High School Athletic Association. The purpose of the letter was to commend our district on our coach and student-athlete conduct during the 2015-16 school year. Hinton was one of 191 schools who had no student-athletes or coaches ejected during the previous year.

PK-3 Pick Up/Drop Off
Please observe the “No Parking Between 8:00-4:00 p.m.” parking areas in front of the school. The buses use the lane in front of the school for drop off and pick up before and after school. Parents dropping off or picking up their children for TK-3 should park in the south lot and children should enter/exit through the south entrance. Preschool parents should use the north lot for drop off after 7:50 and pick up prior to 4:00. Please use the south door for morning drop off instead of dropping your child off on the east side of the building in the morning and asking your child to walk in front of the buses that are unloading. Using the south lot where children do not have to cross in front of the buses is a MUCH safer option.
