Hinton welding students attended the "Blue collar welding tour " in South Sioux City put on by Western Welding Academy. There were over 200 students in attendance from 9 area schools.

She is the first Hinton FFA member to be elected to District Office! Creed Speaking- Mady Hoppe; 4th Place Gold and Alternate to State Floriculture- Brooklyn Grasmeyer, Kayla Sypersma (11th Place Overall), and Maggie Holtgrew Ag Mechanics- Marcus Loutsch, Blake Schoenherr, Wyatt Schoenherr, and Memphis Hueneke; 9th Place Team Agonomy- Hudson Hueneke and Kennedy Hensley; Results to Come Kennedy Hensley and Brooklyn Grasmeyer served as delegates for the business session.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig, visited the 4th grade class to kick off March's Read Across Iowa. He was greeted by FFA members then read a book to the students about grape production. The students wrapped up the activity by sampling different varieties of grape juice and jelly. Sidney Riemschneider, from Ag in the Classroom, presented the lesson. Did you know Iowa has 1,300 vineyards?

Ms. Jecenta Sargisson is student teaching in the Agriculture Classroom this semester! Ms. Sargisson taught the Plant Science students the basics of floral design and the students were able to create their own bud vase floral arrangements.
