
The Hinton Staff participated in our first annual Chili Cook-Off today. We had 15 different chilis that were showcased. PK-3 Building winner was Sarah Johnston and the 4-12 Building was Janet Held. Congratulations!!



Congratulations to the Hinton Girls Basketball Team for advancing to the IGHSAU State Tournament in Des Moines at the Wells Fargo Arena. They will play Rock Valley at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, March 5.
For your planning purposes:
No School on Wednesday, March 5 to support the team
Regular School day on Thursday, March 6.
Depending on the result of the Wednesday game:
Win = No School on Friday, March 6
Loss = Regular School day with early dismissal on Friday, March 6.

The Hinton FCCLA chapter sold fresh Florida strawberries and they are being delivered on Monday, February 24th. We have 15 extra flats for sale at a discounted price: full flats are $30 and half flats are$15. Please contact Mrs. Hertenstein at alison.hertenstein@hintonschool.com if you are interested. These berries are fresh and delicious and are great for fresh eating, freezing for later or for making jam!

The season comes to an end for the Blackhawks, with Jacob Bishop and Jackson Kounkel finishing in 4th place, while Jack Border secured 8th place. It has been a fantastic season, marked by a record number of state qualifiers. We are proud of all of you. A special thank you to our seniors and coaches for their leadership.

The Staff Appreciation Pancake Breakfast scheduled tomorrow in honor of National FFA Week will be postponed to next Friday, February 28th.
