Hey ever!
This is Brittany with Taher; food service director. Please note I changed this Thursday’s menu from chicken fried rice to chicken nuggets ! The kids have been asking for chicken nuggets and I finally got some in so I wanted to have them as soon as we were able. Everything else on the menu for Thursday will remain the same. Thank you! ☺️
The past several weeks have been great ones for the Blackhawk bands! Our students have auditioned for the All-State and Northwest Iowa honor bands and been nominated for the Augustana and Karl King bands - and students have been accepted to each of them. Congratulations to these nine hardworking students, who will spend one to three days at their respective festival making great music!

Hinton's 4-12th grade Veteran's Day Program will be held at 1:05 pm on Thursday, November 11th, in the high school gymnasium. We plan on streaming it live on our Facebook page as well. With the work from 12th grader Gavin Nelson, this will be a unique Veteran's Program.
17 of our 7th/8th grade choir students represented the Hinton Blackhawk Music Department on Tuesday at the Northwest Iowa Junior High Honor Choir in LeMars sponsored by the Iowa Choral Directors Association. Our students joined students from 34 other schools in NW Iowa, rehearsed for the afternoon, and performed a concert for the public in the evening. Guest conductors for the event were Samantha Robilliard from Pella, IA (Treble Choir) and Dave Schaefer from Garland, TX (Bass Choir).
Congrats to all of these amazing students! We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to new board members, Haylee Junck and Ben Vondrak. Also, thank you to Erin Weiland and Jim Binneboese for your service to Hinton CSD.
Good luck to the Hinton Jazz Band as they travel to Estherville today to perform in the Iowa Lakes Jazz Festival. #GoBlackhawks
