Our 5th-8th grade band students were visited by the Sioux City Symphony Brass Quintet on Friday morning. They heard a variety of classical, jazz, Latin, and pop music performed by local professionals David Bohnert and Scott Olson on trumpet, Andrea Carlson on horn, Vance Shoemaker on trombone, and Josh Calkin on tuba. They also learned about ways to keep growing as musicians and stay involved with their instruments through high school and beyond. Thank you, Sioux City Symphony, for providing this fun and inspiring experience for our students!
