A new tradition is born! The volleyball team kicked off High 5 Fridays by welcoming elementary students at the door with high 5s and even a few hugs.

The soils judging team competed in the District FFA Soils Judging contest on Wednesday, September 25th in Emmetsburg. The team was made up of Kennedy Hensley, Haley Copenhaver, Kayla Sypersma, and Allison Hoefling. FFA members had to evaluate slope, soil color, soil texture, and suitable use for four different soil pits. They also had to take a general knowledge test.The team placed 6th out of 21 teams! Congratulations!

Tonights Jr. High football game vs Lawton Bronson will be 3 quarters of 8th grade football and 3 quarters of 7th grade football- due to low numbers with the L-B squad. Go Blackhawks!

Change in Athletic Schedule: Due to lack of numbers for Akron-Westfield, the JV football game scheduled for Sept 30 has been canceled. The 9th/JV Volleyball match vs Westwood has been moved to Oct 7th.
