This week, 8th graders participated in a mock congress activity, stepping into the roles of Representatives and Senators. They gained valuable insights into the legislative process and learned how bills become law. This hands-on experience not only engaged them but also nurtured their understanding of civic responsibility.











The Dance Team is excited to announce a spring dance clinic for grades PreK-6 on March 8th! This is a great opportunity for younger kids to get involved with our dance team!
At the clinic, students will learn a short routine to perform at the show that night!
Paper copies will be handed out in school on Monday!

Tuesday Feb 4th Hinton will host Regional Duels at the High School wrestling starts at 6pm-Woodbury Central vs Logan-Magnolia wrestle at 6 - Hinton will face the winner of that match. Go Blackhawks

Today the 10th grade Creative Writing class helped Mrs. Heimgartner’s 5th grade with the editing of their historical fiction writings. There's some Habit 6 "Synergy" happening.





TK-6th grade Fun Night will take place on Friday, February 7 from 5:30-7:00 PM. You won't want to miss it!


The 8th grade class had fun making some cool fossils in science.




Last Sunday, seven FFA members participated in the Livestock Judging contest at the Sioux Empire Livestock Show in Sioux Falls. Brooks Beitelspacher, Mady Hoppe, Lainee Sitzmann, Nina Cvijanovic, Rylie Hermelbracht, Jaidyn Weber, and Cashton Arens judged 8 classes of market and breeding livestock, including sheep, goats, hogs, and cattle.









Mondays are made for -- running stairs and calculating personal horsepower! Fun activity for physics kids to start their week.




Good luck to our Hinton Jazz Band as they perform at the IHSMA State Jazz Band Festival in LeMars today, Monday, January 27, 2025. The band performs at 4:40 PM. Let's SOAR!

8th grade students spent this week learning how a bill becomes law. They finished this week playing a game to see how many bills they could get passed







Junior high and high school students spent the first semester learning the 7 Habits. This week, BLC students led them in an activity that allowed students to utilize many of them.
