The Blackhawk Tutoring Center is open daily in the library during homeroom for grades 7-12.
This week, 7th graders are participating in a financial literacy simulation, planning weekly meals with various budgets. This activity helps develop budgeting skills and an understanding of financial decision-making.

Once again, the junior high student council will be selling Crush pops. Students, parents, and family and friends may complete an order form and return the form along with money by February 7. Forms and money may be given to homeroom teachers or office secretaries.

Hinton boys wrestling will not be participating in the Kingsley tournament this Saturday (2/1) to get ready for state duel team regional. Hinton will host Woodbury Central and Logan Magnolia on Tues Feb 4th - wrestling starts at 6 pm, come out and support the Blackhawks!
Hinton Welding students attended the "Blue Collar Tour" at the South Sioux City Mini Dome, hosted by South Sioux City High School and sponsored by Western Welding Academy. There were 14 schools present with 200+ students. Students were given information on the value of "Blue Collar Jobs" This was an opportunity to see some cutting edge equipment, get some information on future training and careers after graduation and also a limited opportunity for some students to do hands on welding.
It's not very often we get to have PE outside in January! The kids had a blast.
